Post-Surgery
When the operation is finished, eye salve and cold compresses will be applied to the sewn up incision. Drops that prevent dry eyes may be used. A certain amount of swelling and bruising will occur after the surgery. Keeping your head raised high and using cold compresses will speed healing and make you more comfortable.

You may experience watery eyes and a stinging sensation for one week. You may clean the area around your eyes and use the drops and eye salve that is recommended. Your plastic surgeon will inform you concerning the physical activities and environmental conditions that are permissible. The stitches will be removed within 4-5 days.
